Whole30, Day 12

Paul was scheduled to meet up with his friends to record another podcast for Maybe Next Year, so I decided to go for a walk after work. I changed into my walking gear as soon as I got home because I didn’t want to be tempted to stay in. The temperature was in the mid-80s (a far cry from last Thursday) with a nice breeze, so I ended up walking for three miles.

My destination was Yards Park, a place I’ve walked to many times. I love their pedestrian bridge. I didn’t get a good shot of it tonight due to the angle of the sun, but this is a photo I took last year:

As far as food goes, today ended up being quite fishy — I ate tilapia for both breakfast and dinner. I had defrosted several filets and cooked them in coconut oil on the stove top. When I got home from my walk, it was easy to whip up a quick plate from what I had on hand in the kitchen.

Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, tilapia with cucumber salad

Lunch: CrockPot Pumpkin Turkey Chili (leftovers from last night) with braised cabbage

Dinner: Tilapia with braised cabbage and guacamole

(Reminder: I’m following the Whole30 for the month of July. Here’s why.)
